THE POSITION
The Department of Corrections, Parole Philadelphia District Office is seeking an organized, detail oriented individual to provide administrative support and supervision of clerical staff.
If you are a dedicated individual with a positive attitude, is organized, and pays attention to details, as well as having a strong interest in clerical administration work including clerical supervision, this may be the position for you.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Senate Bill 411 merged the Department of Corrections and the Board of Probation and Parole.
This position is within the Department of Corrections.
As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will serve as the primary administrative support to the Philadelphia District Director and provides the full range of administrative support to include: supervision of clerical subordinate(s); screens visitors; responds to correspondence/e-mails; maintains office, conference room, and personal calendars; schedules and attends meetings; takes and transcribes meeting notes as requested; collects and organizes needed materials for reports and/or meetings; handles details of travel including itineraries, expense account, and reservations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment.
+ Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1;or
+ One year as a Clerical Assistant 3;or
+ Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
+ A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.

+ New employees to the Board or current employees not previously fingerprinted during PBPP employment will be fingerprinted during the hiring process.
