Job Description
Are you excited to work at the bleeding edge of AI, natural language processing, and machine learning? The Multimodal Cognitive AI Team at Intel Labs is seeking stellar interns to join ongoing research and development activities. The ideal candidate would be currently pursuing graduate studies or have significant undergraduate research experience in areas associated with AI, Machine Cognition, and its applications in NLP. The internship will provide a unique opportunity for candidates to combine generative models in deep learning with symbolic knowledge to drive a new class of machine intelligence solutions with higher efficiency, explainability, extensibility, and reasoning.
This is an internship position and compensation will be given accordingly.
Qualifications
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences
Minimum Requirements:
- The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD degree in Computer Scienc
- 2+ years' experience in software development and knowledge of Python and Linux
- 2+ years' experience Expertise in Deep Learning Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc
- 6+ months experience in statistics, modeling, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art models in NLP e.g., attention-based transformers like BERT
- Knowledge of language modeling and text generation algorithms
- Familiarity with NLP benchmark datasets for evaluating abductive, counterfactual, and commonsense reasoning
- Experience with knowledge representation and reasoning, knowledge graphs, and Graph Neural Networks
- Stellar data analysis skills: Familiarity with Python modules such as NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, Plotly, and sklearn
- Experience with Jupyter, Git, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Contributions to projects hosted on public GitHub repositories
- Record of publication in Tier-1 Deep Learning/AI/NLP/CV conferences and journals
