We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiographic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and high-quality images that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, mammograms, and fluoroscopy.
- Calibrate and maintain radiographic equipment to ensure accurate and quality images.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Administer contrast agents and perform vascular contrast injections as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure for patients, staff, and yourself.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care and imaging results.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records and image archives.
- Stay up to date with advancements in radiographic technology and new imaging techniques.
- Assist in the training and supervision of student technologists or other staff members.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiography or a related field.
- Valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiographic Technologist.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiographic equipment.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, radiation safety protocols, and department policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience with CT and mammography is a plus.
- Knowledge of Picture Archive and Communications Systems (PACS) is a plus.
