Your Impact:



This role will support the Low Voltage design for a variety of projects located all over the globe. You will work closely with clients, client reps, architects, and MEP engineers for all types of spaces including Critical Facilities, Corporate Interiors, Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare Facilities, Airports and Transportation.



As a Telecommunications, Audio-Visual and Security System(s) Designer , we’ll look to you for the following skills and capabilities:




  • Design telecommunication cabling infrastructures based upon client design criteria, national and international codes, TIA industry standards and most recent version of BICSI Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM) and best practices.


  • Assist BIM Coordinators in creating, updating, and revising BIM Models throughout the project life cycle.


  • Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, and schedule for assigned tasks.


  • Experience in understanding SOW, RFI, Basis of Design documents, contract drawings and project specifications.


  • Use your BIM/AutoCAD experience to provide layouts, general arrangements, profile views, horizontal distribution pathways, telecom spaces, MDF/IDF/Server Hall room layouts, single lines, riser diagrams, backbone intra/inter distribution, bonding/grounding and details while following Company’s quality and CAD/BIM standards.


  • Experience using Navisworks, running clash detection reports, and maintaining issues and RFI logs.


  • Create schedules and metadata from Revit Families.


  • Develop full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects.


  • Familiar with telecommunications product specification and installation detail design.


  • Utilize Bluebeam software for markup, collaboration, and interactive review sessions for QA/QC procedures. Check and approve work produced by other Revit MEP designers.


  • Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with manager and team to assure quality.


  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and can work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.


  • Provide input to and maintain Work Instructions and Procedures.


  • Operate collaboration software (MS Teams, WebEx, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts) to enable real-time team coordination and face-to-face virtual meetings.


  • Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as Electrical, AV, Security, Architectural and others to develop well-rounded, top-quality designs.


  • Work independently from home with a fast and reliable internet connection.




Here’s What You’ll Need:




  • You are expected to have relevant knowledge of codes and standards with Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI).


  • Excellent CAD, Revit (modelling families in Revit and other items), and BIM Modelling skills along with strong time management capabilities and the capacity to hit the ground running are additional key attributes that you will bring to this position


  • Minimum 4 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD.


  • A proven track record of successful delivery of BIM on small, medium, and large projects.


  • Professional qualification/certification in design or design software is a plus.


  • Customer focused, a complex problem solver, and maintain a big picture / strategic mindset.


  • Need situational adaptability and be self-motivated.


  • Need a passion for innovation and technical excellence in your field of expertise.


  • License such as P.E. or an ICT certification (PSP, CPP, CTS, CTS-D, RTPM, RCDD, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PMP, etc.), is a plus, but not required.
