Job Description
LHH is searching for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Greater Phoenix Area. Reporting to VP Finance, the Financial Analyst is responsible for understanding the operations of the institute, to prepare and provide analysis and insights in support of the overall financial management of the institution. The incumbent will be a professional, highly motivated self-starter, capable of working well with others within the Finance organization and across the organization.
Detailed Description:
- Assist with organizing and developing the annual budget
- Work with Operations Finance in support of development of accurate consolidated institutional forecasts
- Provide timely reporting of monthly financial forecasts, with variance explanations to actual results.
- Develop and automate monthly financial performance presentations
- Forecast consolidating and consolidated financial statements, including statement of Financial Position and Statement of Cash Flow
- Develop complex financial models and analyses to facilitate decision making.
- Manage and model financial transactional impacts to Indirect Cost rate; assist with annual indirect cost rate proposal
- Responsible for taking a lead role in assigned complex assignments/projects
- Point of contact with external consultants for planning software
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Strong financial analysis foundation for creating forecasts and models.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using Oracle, Hyperion and/or EPBCS is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with superior attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and/or deadlines.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, effective, and appropriate relationships with other groups and senior management.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience.
