Additional Manager notes
The manager is looking for someone that has a bachelor's degree in engineering.
This candidate will be spending their time split between the shop and in the office.
The role is faced paced and deals with different sections of the Client.
This candidate will need to be a people person as they will need to be comfortable speaking with different audiences.
The candidate will be developing new products and handling issues that arise with different internal locations.
This role is onsite with flexible M-F first shift hours.
When the manager is ready, he will be requesting 45 min zoom interviews.
Summary:
Research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes and develop quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
Typically has a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
The technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.
Education/Experience
o Bachelor degree in engineering required
o Entry level ? 2 years experience required
Responsibility level
o Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor
Skills
o Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)
o Team player and detail oriented (Required)
o Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports (Typically required)
o Basic experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) (Typically required)
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
o Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
o May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
o May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application
Duties
• Highlight part measurement challenges when running VPI beta / LP parts.
• Be engaged 100% with LP/Beta build of all VPI parts on the floor and highlight manufacturing and Quality challenges when running VPI beta / LP parts.
• Address systemic issues such as weld and non-weld issues (attribute issues) that are common across VPI / LP parts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities when running VPI beta / LP parts.
• Provide feedback to disturbance tracker and address issues with Manufacturing.
• Provide feedback for waivers / deviations needed for VPI / LP parts.
• Assist Quality VPI Engineer on PFMEA, CP, MQV work.
• Assist VPI Quality and Plant Quality Engineers with Process capability analysis and highlight characteristics from VPI /LP parts that do not meet capability threshold.
• Complete COC tracking sheet for VPI/LP parts by working with VPI team.
• Provide feedback on supplied components fit up issues.
• Assist with SLP process documentation and Paynter charts for VPI/LP parts.
• Assist in providing training to operators on Quality criteria.
