Sr. Software Development Manager, Zillow Home Loans
As the Senior Software Development Manager, you will have a key role in managing a team of engineers as well as 3rd party vendors. Working directly with Product & Design, you ll help drive the creation of our primary application leveraged by Loan Officers every day. This application requires knowledge and understanding the full Mortgage lifecycle as well as the various 3rd party integrations we leverage. You ll be constantly looking for ways to optimize the application as well as our delivery & testing pipeline.

- Provide support and guidance to other managers within Mortgage Engineering.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $191,000.00 - $305,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5+ years of full-time experience and very high proficiency programming in JavaScript, Python, C# or similar languages.
- At least 3+ years in a management or tech lead role. A passion for mentoring and growing the potential of others.
- Experience with Cloud Services.
- A proven track record of high productivity in designing, coding, debugging web applications.
- Collaborative working style with a strong focus on well-adapted execution and results.
- Iterative approach to software development combined with the commitment to move fast and think big.
- Real passion for great engineering, demonstrated through depth and breadth of knowledge.
- Mortgage Industry Experience preferred.
