Job Description: Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Senior IT Engineer-SAP-IBP/SCM for our client in the Manufacturing/Steel domain. Role: Senior IT Engineer - SAP-IBP/SCM
Primary Skills: SAP Technical
Role Description: The Senior IT Engineer must have at least 8+ years of experience. For this role, you must be the technical expert to manage the production environment for SAP SCM and IBP and other systems that integrate with SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the SAP design of IBP and SCM suites by having a good end to end knowledge of the business process and how the legacy applications fit in with SAP.
- Ensure sustainability of the sap processes configured in SAP.
- Ensure knowledge of SAP planning and forecasting modules is current by staying up to date in these areas.
- Ensure all production documentation is up to date including functional specifications and test cases.
- Ensure all new developments conform to standards.
- Train end users by conducting knowledge sessions and assisting with user documentation.
- Hands on designing, specifying, configuring to moving changes to production.
- Involved in the definition, design, build, test, deploy, and sustain phases of SAP enhancements.
- Conduct design workshops and put hands on in SAP systems to configure to the business needs.
- Work with the technical team on (WRICEF) in the designing and development of workflows, reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- In conjunction with team members, validate the business design with the users and execute system unit and integration testing.
- Responsible for execution of developers working on SAP changes assigned to you.
- Perform configuration and change reviews and promote change requests to production.
- Coordinate ongoing communication and support with business users.
- Gather detailed business requirements to deliver changes from the business user groups.
- Write functional specifications clearly and work with technical team in completing the development.
- Provide level 2 support for production systems and project implementations, as necessary.
Project Management:
- Capable of providing overall leadership to others on larger change requests or projects impacting many SAP disciplines.
- Ability to break up larger change requests or projects into appropriate workstreams and provide guidance and support to Project Managers on estimates and plans.
- Work with the business to identify and assist in addressing change management items.
- Develop all standard documentation for project deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working and coordinating with other IT teams (non-SAP)
- Integrating SAP with other integration tools – IBM WebSphere
- Gain SAP knowledge using SAP trainings, conferences, and local forums.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience with SAP-IBP cloud solution and SCM 7.0 or above. Experience in following functions is a must:
- Experience in a full project lifecycle end to end
- Know how to debug.
- Expert knowledge of RFC’s, BAPI’s, BADI’s, BDC’s, User Exits, and enhancement points.
- Strong knowledge of outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs to/from Middleware, and flat files.
- Broad technical knowledge - including all key SAP functionality and technology.
- Expert in IDOC enhancements.
- O365 Microsoft tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
IBP:
- Model Configuration (forecast planning – all entities)
- User identity and access management (IAS is optional)
- Data integration (CPI is recommended)
- Application job administration and maintenance
- Be able to work with the Apps available in the “General Planner†group
- Planning view template administration
- Excel Add-in: templates, favorites, master data workbook, application jobs.
SCM:
- SAP Global Availability (GATP)
- Ability to create/change availability check.
- Experience with working on CTP.
- Ability to create/change Production allocation scenarios.
- Production Planning (PPDS)
- Ability to work/maintain Planned Orders/ Production order.
- Work with standard heuristics.
- Ability to create custom heuristics.
- Experience with production plans
- Core Interface (CIF)
- Ability to create/change integration models
- Master Data Definition
- Create/maintain master data (Routing/BOM/Production Version).
- Ability to work/maintain configurable/configured materials.
- Experience with Variant Configuration
- Object Dependencies.
Preferred Requirements:
- Manufacturing or Steel experience
- SAP S/4 HANA (1709 or higher) experience
- CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) knowledge
