Technical Services Engineer, I

As a Technical Services Engineer, you will provide exceptional service to our growing customer base, from Fortune 500 clients to government organizations. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and excellent customer facing skills to navigate highly complex customer issues thorough triaging approaches such as deciphering technical software output logs, installation logs, database investigation, Windows/Mac/Linux troubleshooting and networking. Position responsibilities include answering technical support calls, troubleshooting, bug reporting, testing newly developed software and customizing software tools based on client needs. You will also contribute to modernizing and scaling internal documentation and practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years in IT administration desirable
- Advanced Windows knowledge and support, including Active Directory
- Network infrastructure experience (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls)
- Software application installation, testing, architecture
- Intermediate experience with Citrix or VMware troubleshooting and administration
- Knowledge of & experience with Mac/Linux Operating Systems
- Linux command line troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, AD, Group Policy
- Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server and other related Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies, e.g. Reporting Services, Integration Services, and Analysis Services)
- Experience in large scale (500+ users/devices) IT Datacenter Support
- Experience handling Enterprise-size customers
- System hardware troubleshooting experience
Even better if you have some of the following:
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience with Hyper-V, VMWare or other virtualization platform
- Experience with Citrix (XenApp/XenDesktop/XenServer AKA Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop/Citrix Hypervisor)
- SQL Server Installation & Maintenance
- SQL query writing skills
- IIS Administration / troubleshooting
- Programming / Scripting (PowerShell, VBScript)
- MCSE/MCP/CCA/VCP experience
- Knowledge of HTTPS/TLS is an advantage
- Experience with Packaging/Scripted Software Deployment is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, VSTFS is an advantage
- Experience in UNIX OS is an advantage
