Technical Operations Specialist

PURPOSE

The Technical Operations Specialist is responsible for North America Connected Routing operations. Responsibility includes development support, route logic analysis, quality validation, Connected Routing related VOC response, and daily monitoring of the routing systems. Respond to clients requests and cooperate in mutual projects. Support logic localization effort by integrating existing logic into the native environment. Plan and perform regular/occasional field driving tests against competitors to benchmark and improve overall Connected Routing quality. Collect, interpret, and visualize driving test data for the purpose of improving user experience. Utilize necessary tools for in-depth analysis of traffic data quality and communicate with CPs to maintain and improve the accuracy of the provided contents. Evaluates user routes using route analysis tools to improve overall service quality by finding errors, comparing given routes to the customer\'s routes, and suggesting possible solutions. Additional obligation in managing CP and client relations, supporting test of clients, and coordinating with Headquarter. Also, support the system operation between CP, clients, and Headquarters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operation Management (50%)

• Plan and perform driving field test for route and traffic quality
• Research required test environment and set up corresponding vehicle
• Organize and analyze test data to identify points of improvements and errors
• Report daily/monthly user usage trend through analyzing the cross data from CCS server and GIS server
• Respond to the customer reported issues by identifying the root cause and validating the solution
• Analyze the accuracy of traffic data from the multiple providers using Q-STA scores
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to cooperate on field test operations to improve the overall quality of Connected Routing service
• Perform regular/occasional software update test
• Monitor status of the routing server and react to any malfunctions on notice.
• Communicate with the CCS team in regards to the server issue, system maintenance, and client request
• Report map related issues to the provider and test the countermeasures

Quality Engineering (50%)

• Plan and perform driving field test for the software update
• Create and manage test cases based on the development validation results
• Run the test cases to gather and distribute the result
• Investigate the application of new features and recreate the environment to confirm the functionality
• Set up head unit and vehicles according to the test environment
• Perform local testing for head unit related features on all available platforms
• Raise issues revealed from testing, check the progress of the fix, and validate the fix through additional testing.
• Analyze customer routes and investigate for possible improvements
• Perform test for new features and/or issues regarding previous customer complaints
• Review existing logics and support development team in deciding logic changes based on characteristics of NA roads

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 1+ years of experience in quality assurance, engineering, or other related fields
• Detailed knowledge of IT security
• Experience of AWS Cloud
• Experience with Python, Matlab, and SQL
• Excellent oral presentation and writing skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ability to meet deadlines
