Job Description

Forbes Advisor is looking for a DPR Manager to join its growing Digital Public Relations (DPR) team within Forbes Marketplace, North America to help grow visibility of our consumer content. This role reports to the Senior DPR Manager and is responsible for securing media coverage that aligns with our SEO, Editorial and business goals. Responsibilities:
  • Build backlinks to our content by identifying and securing high-value digital and broadcast media opportunities.
  • Partner with SEO, Editorial and our survey partner in order to create successful data-driven content to leverage for PR outreach.
  • Lead and prioritize outreach efforts for multiple campaigns at a time.
  • Develop messaging to pitch our experts, commentary, and content to reporters.
  • Collaborate with teams to maximize content promotion.
  • Monitor, manage and respond to inbound requests from the media.
  • Position and prep our spokespeople for successful media appearances.
  • Produce and maintain performance reporting.
  • Analyze and track brands and competitors using various resources and apply insights that can improve our performance.
  • Coach, guide, and oversee junior vertical-specific DPR team.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant digital PR experience.
  • At least one year of experience managing junior staff.
  • Must have a strong list of existing reporter relationships from top-tier media.
  • Extensive experience crafting email pitches, media lists, and press releases.
  • Experience working with survey vendors and/or data analysts is a major plus.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task. Work fast, and work well.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to work on a variety of projects.
  • Strong understanding of social media.
  • A pulse on changes within the media landscape and overall consumer trends.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a high level of emotional awareness.
