Director of Operations
This position is responsible for the management of inpatient operations within the PAM Health. Responsible for administrative oversight of various departments and functions as assigned and assumes the role of the Administrator in his/her absence. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This position requires up to 90% travel across the PAM Health network of hospitals.
Hospital Operations Management
- Provides administrative oversight for assigned departments; assists managers with managing human and financial resources.
- Assumes the role of hospital administrator in his/her absence.
- Willingly accepts special projects as assigned; works within time and financial constraints; presents data and outcomes professionally and in a timely manner; serves on system-wide committees as assigned.
- Engages in provider relations activities with external case managers, as assigned by the administrator.
- Establish a visible leadership role in community organizations to enhance public awareness and referral development in market areas.
- Participates in the preparation of the operating and capital facility budgets; monitors compliance of assigned departments with the operating budget; assists in the procurement of capital equipment when approved.
- Takes administrative call as assigned to assure optimum facility operations.
- In conjunction with Administrator, coordinates hospital productivity management program; assures compliance with standards; coordinates flexible staffing program; provides reports as directed.
- Provides input and assists with development of strategic goals and plans for market area. Monitors and ensures compliance with assigned strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training: MHA or MBA or Bachelors Degree in a rehabilitation or healthcare clinical discipline and master’s level experience required. Completion of residency or fellowship in healthcare administration preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years post residency healthcare experience or 3-5 years clinical experience in a rehab or LTACH setting.
