Your Goal:
Granite is currently seeking a results-driven, self-motivated Solutions Engineer who is passionate about solving our hardest customer problems and closing our largest enterprise deals. Reporting to the SE Manager, the SE is the front-line support for the sales team for all product and technology driven opportunities with prospects and customers alike. Your role as a technical resource to the sales team will include performing discovery calls, conducting product demonstrations and presentations, uncovering customer needs and requirements, and creating solutions that translate into associated business value propositions. With an integrated suite of UCaaS, Security, SDWAN, and Managed Services offerings, you will be able to easily match up the best solution for each customer’s unique environment. In addition to your customer facing role, as an SE you will also engage and work cross-functionally with other departments such as product development, engineering, and customer implementation/success to continuously improve and enhance our position in the market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The impact you’ll have includes:
Develop and continually refine deep product knowledge within Granite’s voice
and data product portfolio
Participate in functional and technical discovery sessions
Provide informational presentations and live demonstrations that align
customer needs to Granite’s product platform
Strategize with customers to design solution architecture that accommodates
their requirements and fits appropriately into their networking environment - Address competitive differentiation and technical objection-handling
Work with implementation teams to ensure steady project success
Detail out proposals via diagrams, white board sessions, RFP responses of
customer meetings - Participate in the overall life cycle management cycle of the customers solution to ensure it remains secure and up to date while also identifying upsell opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Voice/Data/Networking/Telecom related field
Knowledge of networking components and concepts
B.S. from 4-year university and/or Equivalent technical education/certification.
5+ years of sales and engineering experience from related field
Ability to think strategically on how to approach a prospect in a sales process
Proficiently able to conduct a thorough discovery and qualification of prospects
needs
Exceptional communication and presentation skills - Ability to build relationships across Granites large sales organization as well as customer contacts.
- Ability to take ownership of solutions to ensure the customer rollout is a white glove experience due to fantastic due diligence
Preferred Qualifications:
- MEF-CECP
- CCNA, CCDA, and or CCDP
- NSE 4+
- Juniper MIST/128 experience
- Velocloud experience
