Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Advancing Operational Test Infrastructure (AOTI) Program. This is a full-time position, located in Huntsville, AL. Applicant will be required to be in the office in Huntsville, AL at least part-time and may have the ability to work remotely part-time. The person in this role will be responsible for the development of software system design, including high level architecture, interface definition, system behavior and HMI (Human Machine Interface). The successful applicant provides structure tailored to the timely development and successful demonstration of software developed for a test environment. This engineer will support the configuration, operation, and maintenance of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools to enable effective and efficient engineering management of the AOTI project. This position will report to the Lead Systems Engineer to assist with various Systems Engineering activities such as risk management and software engineering artifact development.

Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct trade studies to include cost-benefit analyses to develop cost-efficient systems for specific projects.
  • Identify stakeholder, customer and user needs and assess the root cause of the needs. Based on that information, design new systems or improve existing systems to make them better and more efficient.
  • Derive requirements that guide the software development team to create the products to meet our customers' needs.
  • Derive requirements for defined concepts for new or modified features.
  • Develop traceability matrices against which our products are measured prior to delivery.
  • Understand and employ test approaches and verification methods.
  • Support our Agile/Scrum process through backlog management.
  • Implement Risk Management Processes by facilitating the Risk Management Board, coordinating risk assessments with stakeholders, maintaining mitigation action plans, and providing reports to inform leadership of current program risk posture on a regular basis.
  • Perform Systems Engineering activities such as requirements development and traceability, system model development, design documentation, technical baseline maintenance, and verification and validation analysis over the program lifecycle.
  • Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes within standard toolsets in a manner that enables efficient and effective response to changing mission needs and rapidly evolving system requirements.
  • Coordinate with program management personnel to prioritize programmatic and technical objectives.
  • Maintain requirements baseline within MBSE tools to ensure consistency across all areas of engineering concern (e.g., mission and user requirements, system functions and attributes, and architectural and design components).
  • Assist in managing software interface requirements and definitions.
  • Less than 25% travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess a strong software development lifecycle background.
  • Exposure to a software development environment utilizing Agile methodology.
  • Exposure to software system architecture definition, system, and subsystem level requirements definition, and from existing operational concepts and use cases.
  • Experience working with MBSE tools to manage system architecture, design, and requirements development; CAMEO and Enterprise Architect preferred.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except in limited circumstances where legally entitled to an accommodation.
  • Familiarity with DoD systems

  • Exposure to Live, Virtual, and Constructive test or training environments
  • Familiarity with Cyber testing
  • Background in operational testing
