Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


Establishes and meets sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for their territory.


Proactive Sales: Identify and investigate planned projects, far in advance of contract award, and work to position Filtrexx for a successful sales project pursuit.


Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities


Drives customer penetration – for products and customer locations.


Recommends product enhancements by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.


Delivers lunch and learn and other technical presentations in a professional manner.


Becomes an expert in the regulations that governs the industry and becomes a resource for our customers.


Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.


Responsible for obtaining qualified leads through internal and external marketing efforts, setting appointments, and enrolling new members by using company sponsored sales tools.


Assist end-users with the local requirements issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the State Water Resources Control Board: coordinate Best Management Practices (BMP) activities with National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permittees to ensure compliance requirements; effective stormwater sample collection and submission; and understand the analytical lab reports sent to regulatory agencies.


Understand the implementation of various USEPA and State-adopted Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Requirements.


Clear understanding of erosion and sediment control plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and Water Quality Management Plans (WQMP); conduct field inspections of construction sites to verify implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) and compliance with applicable NPDES Permits; coordinate erosion and sediment control training for engineers, contractors, EHS managers and Maintenance Facility Site Managers; recommend actions for compliance and non-compliance; at times conduct field inspections to verify pre & post-construction BMPs are functioning and are being maintained properly.


Attend regular meetings and training to maintain proficiency and knowledge of state and federal regulations. Assist with the California Stormwater Quality Assistance public education program, including recommendation to prevent harmful pollutants from impacting water resources via stormwater runoff; Organize and attend public education and stormwater infrastructure cleanup events for the community; Conduct informational presentations to business and community groups.


Keep apprised of local issues and forthcoming regulations in local watersheds.


Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:Education and/or Experience


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience involving erosion & sediment control methodology, stormwater quality program compliance with NPDES regulations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the desirable knowledge, skills, and abilities

**This role would have an incentive compensation program in addition to base salary.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS and PHYSICAL CONDITIONS Must possess and retain a valid California Class "C" driver's license. Due to the nature of the work, incumbents must have the ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and manipulate objects. WORKING CONDITIONS The ability to work outdoors with exposure to all environmental conditions, hazards, and noise levels associated with construction sites and industrial facilities.
