Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Senior Project Engineers to join and support the KC-46 Services Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) in Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA. In this position you will lead cross-functional teams across the engineering disciplines and product support elements. Projects range from, but are not limited to, fleet issue tracking and resolution, leading and facilitating the joint Boeing/USAF Software Working Group, managing Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects as well as Internal Applications Development (IAD) projects. This position requires integration across the engineering disciplines as well as significant integration with BCA and BDS stakeholders. With the growth of the KC-46 domestic fleet and addition of international customers, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team early in its lifecycle and set the course.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform project engineering for a variety of analysis to Identify top Ao and MC degraders and recommended corrective actions

  • Communicate project status to various Boeing teams and Government customers. Be able to respond quickly and effectively

  • Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers

  • Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements

  • Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules

  • Leads project execution to complete the engineering work statement

  • Identifies and reports project technical performance metrics

  • Performs Technical Integration of multiple engineering disciplines on highly complex projects

  • Plans, identifies, and coordinates engineering resources required over the life of the project or program

  • Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity

  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned

  • Provides integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans

  • Works under minimal direction

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 5+ years relevant Project Engineering experience

  • Experience in cross functional integration across multiple teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of the KC-46 platform

  • Knowledge of Product Support Elements

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
