Pine Gate Renewables is seeking an Asset Manager that is excited about working in a dynamic environment within the renewable energy industry. The Asset Manager will serve as a liaison between investors and lenders, providing regular operational and financial insight to solar investment portfolios. Additionally, the Asset Manager will execute all responsibilities related to maximizing the financial output for their solar portfolio. The ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented and possess a strong analytical mind.
What You'll Do
- Keep current on reporting to energy regulatory agencies including GATS, PUCs, FERC, NCUC, and EIA
- Manage Operation & Maintenance team to understand the causes of underperformance, facilitate repair quotes, taking part in weekly O&M meetings
- Coordinate onboarding of placed-in-service assets with EPC, O&M, and Development
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors and lenders
- Own relationships with landowners, regulators, investors, lenders
- Analyze the financial performance of operating solar farms, providing insight on budget variances.
- Analyze production data for operating solar farms.
- Perform Renewable Energy Credit (REC) market diligence and compliance.
- Assist with preparation of solar farm budgets, departmental budgets, and updates to project financial models.
- Manage cash flow forecasts for tax equity portfolios.
Must-Haves
- Work or classroom experience with renewable energy
- 3-5 years' experience in finance, accounting, business, engineering
- Proficiency with MS Office suite products
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong interest in renewable energy, especially solar
- Proficient at extracting and summarizing large amounts of data, and analyzing information within contracts
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Basic understanding of energy markets and solar technology
Education and Certifications
- BS or BA in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, business
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Some travel may be required (up to 25%)
