Job Description- Program Specialist
The Program Specialist is responsible for serving as the customer's primary point of contact providing operational and reimbursement support to complex programs within Covance. After comprehensive training, you will respond to requests from patients and healthcare partners. Additionally, you will also be in constant contact with medical insurance companies to help patients and providers understand and navigate the complexities of insurance coverage for a prescribed therapy. The Program Specialist needs to be a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative, identifying barriers, and working with the appropriate parties to eliminate these obstructions for the customers. The Program Specialist is proficient and knowledgeable about all the services provided on their assigned program(s).
salary: $21 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 8 PM
education: High` School
Responsibilities
+ Handle calls, track communications, and record product data
+ Provide customer support on product information, reimbursement, or availability options
+ Inbound/Outbound calls from patients, healthcare partners, and insurance providers
+ Educate patients on their available products and options for insurance
+ Work with medical insurance companies to determine if patients are eligible for their treatment
The essential functions of this role include:
+ working in a smoke free environment
Skills
+ Customer Service (3 years of experience is required)
+ Call Center Support (3 years of experience is required)
+ computer literate
+ Health insurance verification (1 year of experience is preferred)
Qualifications
+ Years of experience: 3 years
+ Experience level: Experienced
