Position Summary

The Principal Systems & Controls Engineer will support key engineering initiatives at 33 NYA Manufacturing Site.  They will work closely with cross functional partners in Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities & IT.  The ideal candidate is experienced in validating and maintaining a GMP Site.  This position will report directly to Head of Process Engineering and be located at the state-of-the-art cell therapy manufacturing facility at 33 New York Ave, Framingham, MA.

Responsibilities

• Integration of hardware with SCADA including panel, wiring, and IO design and verification


• Assemble and maintain validation documentation, loop and wiring diagrams


• Prepare detailed specifications and scope of work documents to procure equipment and services from outside vendors to meet site instrument, control, and electrical requirements


• Specification of automated skids, controllers, and instrumentation


• Support commissioning and qualification as I&C SME


• Initiate and facilitate quality and engineering change controls


• Ongoing support/maintenance of building and equipment automation (troubleshooting) and implementing continuous improvement opportunities


• Liaison between equipment system owners within Manufacturing, Facilities, and Engineering and automation programming and integration engineers including user, functional, and design specification development.


• Provide technical guidance and analysis for the resolution of equipment controls related deviations and investigations


• Lead implementation of process improvement projects through change control


• Develop department procedures and specifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 12+ years of overall experience or 10+ years of experience with advanced degree, in a GAMP environment


• General programming and troubleshooting background with PLCs and SCADA systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rockwell PlantPAx, Win 911, and OSI Pi
