Job DescriptionBehavioral Health Trainer/Consultant * Are you an experienced Behavioral Health Professional looking for a new challenge? * Are you motivated , energetic , and excited to become part of the Kepro team? Who we need: The Clinical Assessor, Field or Telephonic ( Behavioral Health Trainer/Consultant ) will perform retrospective reviews of WV Medicaid providers, offering behavioral health and substance abuse services, to ensure compliance with Contract requirements. Provider reviews, both on-site and desk audits, will assess medical necessity and compliance with WV Medicaid documentation standards. The Behavioral Health Trainer/Consultant provides ongoing training, consultation, and technical assistance with providers to ensure understanding of WV Medicaid guidelines and expectations. The Behavioral Health Trainer/Consultant also assists with the certification process of SUD Waiver Services. The Trainer/Consultant must manage a caseload to ensure that reviews and trainings are conducted within appropriate timeframes. The Trainer/Consultant will also work in close coordination with team members to ensure all deliverables are met. This is a remote position with travel required. Why us? What you'll do: * Conducts and appropriately documents provider retrospective reviews utilizing established UM Guidelines, WV Medicaid manuals, and other resources. * Reviews and interprets member records and compares against criteria to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of care; determines if the medical record documentation supports the need for services. * Provide recommendations related to clinical policies and procedures based on the analysis of information obtained through provider reviews and utilization data analysis. * Interface with staff and contractors regarding provider concerns, development of review criteria and utilization management resources. * Foster positive and professional relationships and act as liaison with providers to ensure effective working relationships and team building in order to facilitate the review process. * Perform job functions within established time frames, participate in team quality review activities and meet performance metrics. * Utilize proper telephone etiquette and judicious use of other verbal and written communications, following KEPRO policies, procedures, and guidelines. * Provide technical assistance, consultation, and trainings to providers via phone, web-based and on-site. What you'll need: Required Qualifications * Active and unrestricted WV licensed Psychologist, Masters level WV licensed Social Worker (LGSW, LCSW, LICSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). * In addition to above licensure, AADC or ADC certification is beneficial. * Must have high-speed (no dial-up) internet at home. * Must be willing to travel and have active, unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation and active auto insurance. * Applicant must be able to work independently based remotely from their OSHA complaint home office committed to confidentiality of PHI. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. * Excellent flexibility, organizational skills, and ability to work with time constraints to meet deliverables. * Ability to review/analyze documentations against set standards. * Ability to interact appropriately with providers under stressful and/or changing conditions. Experience * Minimum 1-2 years experience in providing behavioral health and substance abuse services; experience with WV Medicaid preferred. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office- specifically Word and Excel and internet/web navigation.
