Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the Digital Technologies (DT) Security Operations staff in the Security Center of Excellence (COE).

This position will be responsible for a wide range of security responsibilities, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity and on the overall health and performance of a system. The professional is expected to work with end user services and cross-functional teams to provide the requested security services, troubleshoot and resolve issues. The cybersecurity professional is expected to operate and perform at the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity and work among a team of skilled analysts to address simple to moderately complex problems across the various security functions.

The focus of this role is working within the Collins Aerospace DT Cybersecurity department reporting to the Sr Manager, Cybersecurity and COE.

This position can be worked remotely from home at any domestic US based location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides tier two and security support services for the enterprise. This includes timely resolution of trouble tickets. Participates in the on-call rotation.

  • Responsible for taking direct action to understand and resolve all security-related problems and exceptions

  • Completes activities focused on ensuring the safety and preventing the destruction of and unauthorized access to organization information systems.

  • Confers with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.

  • Manage the areas for which you are responsible at a level which prevents unauthorized, excessive access.

  • Communicating security related issues and risks to team members and leadership.

  • Will serve as a security lead for simple development and deployment projects.

  • Assists with supporting simple to moderately complex operational tasks that are assigned as part of a project implementation. May serve as a project lead for small to medium projects of moderate complexity.

  • Assist with the organization and coordination of the activities of team members to complete security team deliverables for projects.

  • Considered a Subject Matter Expert in at least one area and considered a domain generalist in multiple areas, including a moderate understanding of information security knowledge in the assigned areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Thorough understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (operating systems, IPS/IDS, TCP/IP, ports, etc.)

  • Demonstrated analytical expertise includes the ability to think critically and logically in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment

  • Must possess or be able to obtain (at the company's expense) a Secret level clearance.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security certifications (e.g. Security+, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CEH, etc.)

  • Experience with Microsoft and Unix-based operating systems

  • Experience in Active Directory and Account administration

  • Experience with Enterprise Firewall rules and rule creation.

  • Solid understanding of ITIL foundation service lifecycle

  • Experience in general security to effectively collaborate with team members and leadership.

The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 98,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
