Nurse Director Women and Children's Services

An award-winning teaching hospital located in central Connecticut is currently searching for an experienced Nurse Director Women's and Children's Services to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This fully accredited acute care facility is home to over 300-beds and is known to offer world-class medical and surgical specialties. The Nurse Director of Family Birth Center will join a mid-sized community hospital that provides care to more than 15,000 inpatient and nearly 200,000 outpatient visits annually. This medical center offers a wide variety of specialized medical and surgical services including behavioral health, cardiology, emergency and critical care, oncology, perioperative, birthing services, and much more.

The Nurse Director Women's and Children's Services will oversee a dynamic obstetric service line that is proud to help delivery more than 1,000 babies each year. The women's service line also offers a Level III NICU that is fully staffed with experienced Neonatologists, specially trained nurses, and Lactation Consultants. Reporting to the CNO, the Nurse Director will have administrative oversight of the labor and delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery areas. The Nurse Director will lead the service line personnel management, professional development, regulatory compliance, fiscal budget, and overall strategic vision of the service line.

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing BSN
• Current state RN license or ability to obtain upon hire
• 2-3 years of prior Management experience
