JOB SUMMARY
As part of the Sales Operations organization, the Sales Support team members are the primary liaison between the outside sales force and production operations for all S&C's engineer-to-order products.   Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing automated overhead distribution applications with customers, outside sales, application engineering, and design engineering to collaboratively develop effective solutions using S&C products and services.   Responsibilities also include developing custom pricing, issuing quotations, creation of sales orders, and general oversight of the orders throughout the design and production cycle.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Main point of contact for sales regarding orders for Intellirupter, SCADA-Mate and 6800 Controls.
  • Develop a strong understanding of S&C's Intelliteam Software.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to customers and the S&C outside sales team.
  • Review customer specifications and assist in formulating & communicating the commercial strategy to best address customer needs.
  • Preparing price estimates, generating quotations, and processing sales orders.
  • Providing customers, outside sales, and inside sales with timely responses to technical, application, and commercial questions using resources within S&C.
  • Provide engineering & technical support to the other members of the Sales Support team.
  • Facilitate requests for retrofit kits and parts for Intellirupter, Scada-Mate and 6800 Controls.
  • Participate in customer visits, including plant tours, acceptance testing, and associated functions.
  • Improve current processes using LPS concepts and 4 Step Problem Solving methods. 
  • Build relationships with Franklin based engineering & production groups and Chicago based engineering groups.
  • Coordination with Competitive Intelligence team.
  • Must report to Franklin, WI offices at a minimum of 2 days per week

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Job requires less than 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of various communication protocols and equipment a plus
  • Basic understanding of electromechanical products and mechanical concepts.
  • Good PC skills including proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers and internal personnel.
  • Must be self-motivated, well organized, and skilled decision maker that is comfortable in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Reaching: Infrequent reaching
  • Handling: Occasional handling of parts or tools
  • Environment:  Standard office / lab work space with occasional trips to factory areas
