**HOW THE SENIOR UI/UX SOFTWARE DEVELOPER** **ROLE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT**
+ Working with clients and accessibility SMEs to identify business- and user-focused solutions that ensure that our clients’ products are usable by everyone
+ Contributing front-end code that keeps accessibility and usability at the forefront
+ Troubleshooting and performing test procedures to ensure systems meet business and Federal requirements
+ Leveraging your development experience to help client teams successfully incorporate accessibility requirements into the development lifecycle
+ Mentoring developers across geographically-diverse teams to support knowledge transfer around accessible coding practices
+ Working productively with clients to identify solutions to functional and accessibility barriers in existing code
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:**
+ **Education** : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Technology or related field
+ **Required Experience** : Five (plus) years of experience in web design, web development, interface design, or software design.
+ **Security Clearance Level** : Must be a US Citizen
+ **Required Skills and Abilities:**
+ In-depth experience developing web-based applications.
+ Strong understanding of Web standards and protocols (HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular.JS and JS frameworks).
+ Experience with iOS and Android UI development
+ Experience with Agile methodologies and environments
+ Experience with mockup and UI prototyping tools
+ Ability to analyze results of accessibility testing and collaborate with team members to identify design and remediation approaches that meet business objectives while supporting compliance
+ Ability to explain technical solutions and recommendations to SMEs, team members, and clients
+ Desire to learn, ability to think creatively to solve problems, and willingness to take ownership of solutions
+ Demonstrated commitment to quality work products and documentation of processes and procedures
+ Ability to conceptualize, present and execute ideas in a timely and efficient manner
+ **Preferred Skills:**
+ Experience developing code that meets Section 508 compliance requirements, including valid Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) implementation
+ The ideal candidate will have an IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification, or will be willing to obtain one
