Facilities Mechanical Engineer
You will support daily operations and work on process system efficiency, capacity, and quality improvement.
Monitor all dry mechanical equipment within a commercial building, including HVAC systems, pumps, heat exchangers, and building cooling and heating space.
Demonstrate general experience troubleshooting and improving Process dry mechanical system.
Interact with tenants and ensure all engineering requests are effectively addressed.
Work with on-site contractors and vendors.
Effectively respond to and resolve operations process issues.
Implement safety programs and protocols.
Support commissioning team to develop commissioning, startup, and operations plans for mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, air handling system, Dehumidifier systems etc.)
Support maintenance and reliability engineering team to increase facility system reliability and efficiency.
Identify and implement improvement projects.
Interface heavily with design and installation teams to assure quality system delivery.
Understand and apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts and root cause failure analysis to open-ended problems.
Communicate effectively and timely to stakeholders and the required engineering team.
Must be able to prioritize and manage a heavy workload to ensure high quality and productivity.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or 2+ years of relevant working experience.
Operation experience in hydronics for industrial / pharmaceutical / bio-tech / semiconductor type facilities is preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and systems, including pumps, pneumatics, fans, flow meters, air handling systems, industrial chilled water, heating, process piping, rotating equipment, mass and heat transfer.
Knowledge and experience with writing sequences of operation for Process mechanical system.
