As a Senior Software Engineer within our Video Surveillance global product group , you will be the backbone of our the Exacq Server Core Team! You will work with our best-in-class brands including Tyco AI, American Dynamics, Cloudvue, Illustra, Exacq, Software House and Kantech from the comfort of your own home. Your focus will be on new technologies for our exciting products such as multi-sensor cameras, reviewing information from our AI driven cameras and bringing in data that customers need for retail and various mid-scale commercial buildings, as well as schools and universities. We are investing heavily for growth and looking for change agents with big and bold ideas, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a highly collaborative working style, to deliver high-quality software. How you will do it
You will work with a team to craft, implement and test our applications that manage and supervise security products. You have strong interpersonal skills, a desire to work in a team environment and are passionate about delivering high quality software and participating in driving the next-gen architecture!
The Senior Software Engineer will enhance and maintain the product on a continuous release cycle and assist the support team with reproducing and resolving customer issues. Youll have the opportunity to design and make architectural decisions, improve product and be an overall strong technical resource using the best software development practices by using your expertise in backend design using C++ for backend development and framework infrastructure.
What we look for
Required
BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent technical experience
7+ years experience in software development in a professional environment with C++
5 + years experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Fundamental understanding of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, Networking, and load balancing
Must be able to work during US Central/Eastern time-zone business hours
Preferred
Familiarity with REST, gRPC, SOAP API's
Knowledge of Rust
Knowledge of git
