Job Summary:
The UX Designer will understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience for Metronet’s modern, digital application environment. UX Designer will define the UI and UX for new and existing features for Metronet's applications and platforms to improve customer and internal user experience and efficiency. UX Designer will supply sketches, wireframes, process flows, visual designs, and prototypes for design discussions and for handoff to development teams. UX Designer will create videos and motion graphics, exhibition graphics, presentation designs, and information graphics, according to brand guidelines and Metronet’s Design System. UX Designer will expeditiously support the needs of the product, business, editorial, content, and social marketing teams. UX Designer will maintain the Metronet design system and reusable component libraries. UX Designer will conduct independent research to inform design ideas. UX Designer will adhere to and build upon Metronet Design System, brand guidelines, and campaign systems. UX Designer will validate and iterate on designs based on quantitative and qualitative data.
What you will be doing:
Creating wireframes (Figma, Illustrator, Sketch, or similar)
Creating visual designs (Figma, Illustrator, Sketch, or similar)
Creating and editing videos and motion graphics (Figma, Adobe After Effects, or similar)
Creating prototypes (Figma, Invision, or similar)
Facilitating user testing
Interacting with development teams via Jira
Presenting concepts and designs to leadership
What You Need For This Position:
Minimum of 2 years as an Interaction Designer
Nice to have: 4-year degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar
Proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, Sketch, and Photoshop
Proficiency in Figma Animation or After Effects, nice to have
Proficiency in prototyping
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Proficiency with Jira
Experience conducting user research
Strong communication and presentation skills
A portfolio of previous work must be included with the resume
