Senior Service Engineer - Citrix - Enterprise Information Services *100% Remote


As a Senior Service Engineer, you will join a team of highly motivated individuals that provide virtual applications to 150,000+ caregivers across our enterprise. Your role will be multifaceted and will require engagement with different technology pillars across the organization. Additionally, strong relationships with various clinical teams, and regular engagement with various technology vendors to stay in alignment with their current and future offerings is a must! Internal to our technology pillar, you will work closely with the SIE (Service Integration Engineering) team, as well as our Platform Operations team to ensure stable, reliable, and performant delivery of our application and VDI portfolio to all caregivers across the enterprise.


Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. or equivalent educ/experience

  • 5 years Related experience; more preferred

  • Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes

  • Experience with n-tier solutions

  • Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)

  • Experience influencing software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations

  • Experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements

  • Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis

Preferred qualifications:


  • Citrix certifications such as CCP-V, CCE-V, CC-VAD-MA.

  • Knowledge and experience managing large Citrix VDI environments (20k users or above).

  • Understanding of application deployment technologies (Citrix App Layering, Microsoft AppV, MSIX, Chocolatey, etc).

  • Knowledge and experience implementing and managing profile solutions such as FSLogix and Citrix UPM.

  • Scripting – Advanced PowerShell scripting, YAML, and experience with code repositories.
