Job Summary

The Enterprise Agile Coach at First American(FA) Trust supports the Agile Enablement Office (AEO) at FA Trust to define and implement AEO strategy and operationalize FA Trust's business agility roadmap to achieve the desired outcomes for its customers. The Enterprise Agile Coach will educate on agile principles, providing training, tools and coaching for implementing the processes that teach Lean Agile Practices and events that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile mindsets, methodologies and ways of working. This role will collaborate with various teams, including product management and software development teams, to implement adaptive frameworks like lean portfolio management and objectives and key results to assist in achieving productivity and maturity of the agile operating model.

Essential Functions
Work closely with First American(FA) Trust's Agile Enablement Office (AEO) team to define and implement AEO strategy, operationalize FA Trust's Business Agility roadmap and Agile playbook and continuously improve the practice
Coach all levels of the organization to adopt and grow agile mindsets, practices and ways of working to deliver customer value, and understand the benefits of doing so
Implement Lean Portfolio Management and scale agility, to enable product teams to effectively plan, handle dependencies/risks and successfully deliver strategic initiatives
Implement Objective and Key Results (OKR) frameworks to support execution of enterprise vision, including building and tracking portfolio-level OKRs and metrics across the organization
Assess the implications of lean-agile adoption and identify and implement additional organizational, operational, and process changes needed to optimize the impact of the lean-agile journey, including setting up communities of practice and updating processes
Grow FA Trust's lean-agile competencies by assisting in development of training, leading workshops and training sessions to educate individuals/teams on Agile values, principles, and practices
Provide guidance and educate senior leaders to become agile and collaborate with executive leadership on lean-agile governance
Help create program and product backlogs/roadmaps
Define, implement and track agile metrics that matter, in areas that drive value and indicate potential problems, and assists teams in implementing solutions to remediate those problems
Participate in vendor selection and contract processes as required
May need to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs
May need to travel to attend in-person events based on business needs
May need to lead more junior team members

Required Knowledge/Skills
Deep knowledge of lean-agile practices from having served as a lean-agile champion, transformation office lead, or enterprise level coach
Experience in lean portfolio management
Experience coaching product teams on implementing story mapping
Lean mindset, agile coaching and mentoring expertise to facilitate product refinement, development and delivery best practices
Experience in conducting Agile training for leaders and teams
Ability to facilitate discussion at all levels of the organization to resolve conflicts
Ability to anticipate and address issues openly and quickly
Negotiates, persuades and gains consensus from cross functional teams

Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Experience in driving large scale agile transformation from pilot through full-scale implementation strongly preferred
Applies knowledge of SAFe to deliver outcomes at the Team and/or Program level
Experience in Jira administration preferred
Understands advanced concepts of software development processes and procedures
Listens to others with empathy and accepts input from team members

Education
Generally, requires BS Degree in an IT or Business Field or equivalent work experience

Licenses or Certificates
Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent
Certified Agile Coach preferred
SAFe certifications preferred

Experience
Typically have 5+ years of real-world Agile coaching experience, guiding teams, divisions or organizations through the varied challenges of Agile adoption within an organization.
