Senior UX Content Strategist (remote)

The Senior Content Strategist will work with Global Digital UX team designers and researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to best support the customer in their shopping & ownership experience. In this role, they will use their understanding of UX design principles and IA best practices to simplify complex concepts into digestible, user-friendly content. This position will work in lockstep with the UX designers. In addition, the Senior Content Strategist will be responsible for ensuring a consistent brand voice, developing, and evolving content standards, content and messaging strategies, best practices, and processes. This position will help align the content strategy across all channels to drive business value and support an optimal digital experience for the customer. This person will report to the Head of User Experience and does not have any direct reports.
What you’ll be able to do:
50%-Collaborating with User Experience and Creative to evolve the user experience, develop content direction, and support the team through hands on writing, content audits, and providing quality assurance
30%-Develop and evolve content standards, content and messaging strategies, best practices and processes.
10%-Build and maintain relationships with product lines, Usability, SEO, technology, copywriters, online editors, photographers, partner agencies and other vendors.
10%-Develop roadmap for Content Strategy based on user research and benchmarking.
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
5 years of demonstrated UX Content Strategist experience in developing and managing content in a digital environment.
A portfolio of work that demonstrates a deep understanding of the design thinking process and user-centered content choices
Our preferred requirements:
Master’s in Communications, Journalism, English, Library Science or related field
Strong knowledge of UX design methodologies, information architecture best practices, and web usability principles
Experience leading design thinking workshops and familiarity with user research methodology
Previous ecommerce, automotive or agency experience
Deep knowledge of mobile, web, and ecommerce design trends and technologies
Experience working in a collaborative, cross functional team; consistently demonstrating effective management of shifting priorities, delivering thorough work products, and meeting project deadlines
Strong verbal/written communication skills; Ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand designs and visual elements
Strong attention to detail
