Cennox is seeking a Project Management Office Director based in the Alpharetta, GA area. This is a full-time position.


Position Summary:


The Project Management Office (PMO) Director is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of all projects within the organization. The PMO Director will develop and maintain project management processes and methodologies, as well as provide coaching and mentoring to project managers. The PMO Director will also be responsible for the management of the PMO staff and budget.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, as well as experience leading and managing a team of project managers. The candidate will also have experience with process improvement and change management. The PMO Director must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, from senior management to project team members.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Define, document, and maintain processes for the Project Management Office (PMO), including project intake, prioritization, and governance
  • Oversee a team of Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts to ensure successful project delivery
  • Work with senior leadership to develop long-term strategy and annual plans for the PMO, aligning with business objectives
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Monitor risks and issues across all projects, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution
  • Prepare regular reports on PMO performance, highlighting successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings and feedback for continuous improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends, and share relevant insights with the team
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff on project management methodologies and tools
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the PMO
  • Manage vendor relationships related to the PMO, ensuring contracts are in place and service levels are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)


Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project management / Supervisory experience


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
