With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure [$100K-105K+ Bonus]. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our rapidly-growing tax and accounting practice.
If you are a self-starter with 3-5 years of recent public accounting tax experience, with a passion for tax, and are ready to lead engagements for small to midsize privately held businesses and business owners, we would like to speak with you.
Ideally experienced in tax preparation, tax planning and compliance services for high-net worth individuals, C and S corporations, LLCs, and Partnerships and trust/estates. Exposure to tax provisions such as pass through entity elective tax, real estate transactions, 1031 exchanges, foreign reporting compliance and treatment of stock options.
As Senior Tax Accountant, you will work closely with clients and partners, prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including trusts, estate, & non-profit returns for clients in a diverse range of industries. In addition, you will complete complex tax planning and research, prepare and review financial statements, provide business consulting while developing and cultivating professional client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Completing first-level review on certain projects
Researching tax issues, preparing research memos
Identifying, assessing, and informing management of tax related issues
Collaboratively working with client team members while building rapport and strong client relationships
Working closely with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the project
Training other team members and providing appropriate feedback
Qualification:
Must have tax experience from a mid-size public accounting firm
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively delegate work as needed
Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated project management skillset including project planning, time management, and timely updates to upper management and client team members
Excellent judgment, including the willingness to seek advice of appropriate superiors regarding issues and problems
Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with other team members
Understanding of and ability to work within audit budgets
Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
Master's degree in Accounting or Tax (preferred)
CPA
3-5+ years of prior experience in public accounting (required)
