Job Summary
The Semi-Fabricated Products Business Unit serves the North American market as a Master Distributor, with a focus on Aluminum Rolled Products for OEM and Distribution Markets. We have strong strategic partnerships with quality rolling mills around the globe. When combined with our unparalleled customer service, we deliver outstanding supply chain solutions.
We are looking to add a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to our team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, initiate and execute the sale of products to customers through regular calls, site visits and presentations.
Develop and manage commercial relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Support the overall Business Unit strategy, develop sales strategies and target potential new customers to capture market share and maximize profit margins.
Understand and apply sound risk management practices to provide customers with a variety of pricing options, while mitigating the associated terminal market and premium exposure, in consultation with our Risk Management team.
Prepare customer sales forecasts and contribute toward development of Business Unit budget and growth strategy.
Collaborate with the Procurement Team to request quotes, place purchase orders, and track order status.
Collect and record market intelligence from sales activities.
Monitor and consistently increase customer satisfaction as the face of MEC.
Provide detailed account of call reports, contact information and quote opportunities to support sales & marketing programs.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of product lines.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
5 years relevant sales experience and proven track record of consistent high performance.
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Willingness to travel up to 25-50% as required to meet customer demands and build the business.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to balance and manage multiple business development efforts.
Superior sales skills and customer resource management.
Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
Strong ability to analyze data to solve problems, understand technical issues and make effective decisions.
Enjoys customer interaction including telephone, video, and person to person meetings.
Self-motivated and aggressive in pursuing and achieving objectives.
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams).
