Position Summary


The primary role of the Senior Specialist, Planner is to plan materials required to support Syracuse Manufacturing Operations. The Planner is also responsible for strategic planning / inventory analysis and for site SAP data coordination.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Plan and monitor inventory levels based on production schedule and SAP system demand.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders are accurate.
  • Create, release, and monitor Process Orders for use in manufacturing.
  • Accountable for SAP data reports to monitor demand, inventory levels, and other information to support uninterrupted supply of materials for manufacturing.
  • Escalate material concerns to local management as needed.
  • Support cross-functional teams as Supply Chain Planning representative.
  • Support master data maintenance, including creation of new SAP numbers and submission of master data changes.
  • Work with procurement and quality groups on vendor return transactions.
  • Work with cross-functional team to coordinate and lead disposal of inventory intended for destruction/disposal.
  • Oversee and approve material requests in support of process studies and validation, etc.


Qualifications


Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc


  • Working knowledge of SAP/ERP system.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology. Lean Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Knowledge of investigation/change management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines.


Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications


  • 2-4 years of work-related experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, or Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of cGMP s, Federal and State regulatory requirements, Company policies/procedures, and documentation practices.

Travel This position requires up to 5% of travel.
