- Develop quality objectives complementary to corporate and product group goals and implement plans and strategies to achieve those objectives.
- Direct and perform all operations-related activities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements imposed by codes and standards used in the supply of the BHE product (including ASME, UL, PED and ISO 9001, ISO 14064, ISO 50001).
- Coordinate and manage the claims handling process for Richmond BHE Operations.
- Coordinate and manage customer surveys, audits and PPAP requests related to the Richmond BHE factory.
- Plan and conduct inspections, measurements, and/or tests to assure the quality of products or components.
- Coordinate and drive continuous improvement activities or projects addressing quality related problems and improvements.
- Coordinate training of key people in the organization in regulatory or customer requirements related to quality.
- Supervise brazing, welding, and welder qualification test; maintain procedure and welder qualification records.
- Serve as liaison with Quality Managers and Quality Engineers in the BHE product group and coordinate local activities as a part of product group quality initiatives. Actively use the BHE network to replicate best practices.
- 3-5 years progressively responsible experience implementing quality assurance and quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Pressure Vessel Codes, National Board Inspection Code, ISO 9001, ASTM material specifications, related national and international codes and standards - jurisdictional pressure vessel laws preferred.
- Project management, process analysis, and improvement experience.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing / ALPS.
