Our client is looking for a Senior EV Controls Integration Release Manager to join their engineering team in Austin. They are seeking exceptionally talented individuals that are highly motivated to revolutionize the trucking industry, reduce the use of fuel and have some fun. You will be joining an experienced engineering team in the design, simulation, implementation and testing of electric powertrain systems. In this role, you will be deeply embedded in the daily development activities including control system integration, calibration, and verification. You will be responsible for developing the subsystems of the vehicle across the entire lifecycle including requirements definition, system design, vehicle development, pre-production, and production launch phases.

Essential Job Functions:

Support the controls and software release process.
Develop methodologies for system integration and calibration.
Participate in and support calibration review process.
Develop software verification test plans, conduct data analysis, identify issues, develop root-cause, and implement corrective actions.
Optimize software control feature algorithms utilizing test benches, simulation, data analysis, and vehicles.
Interface with internal and external teams, stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to develop and integrate control systems.
Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
Ensure on time delivery with quality.
Support definition of cross-functional feature requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with and knowledge of electric powertrains, software calibration and test methodologies.
Background in complex controls system integration and development.
Technical experience and knowledge associated with vehicle electrification and controls (software, calibration, diagnostics, ISO 26262, hardware and systems, software design, battery technology, controls systems, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with major automotive or Class 8 systems (emissions, OBD, powertrain, electrical, thermal, high-voltage, safety, ADAS, HMI, drivetrain, etc.)
Knowledge and hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, HIL, ETAS, Vector, etc.
Ability to work safely in vehicles, labs, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging ability.
Understanding of hardware and software interactions.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
4+ Years of Experience in relevant engineering roles
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
Other Qualifications:

Individual should be analytical, self-starting, and can work effectively with a diverse team to solve problems and present information.
Proven ability in managing projects, priorities, and assignments with accountability.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Position will require travel to conduct environmental development test trips, support supplier technical reviews, and evaluate system performance.
Ability to travel up to 15-20%.
