Sr. Principal Solutions Architect

PTC is seeking a dynamic Sr. Principal Solutions Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture and Technology (EA&T) team with the mission to modernize business processes as well as technology and application landscape, helping IT to better serve multiple organizations with a modern and secure technology solutions solving complex business problems.

The Sr. Principal Solutions Architect is a key member of the EA&T team and will be responsible for cross-value stream architectural leadership and support over critical capabilities as part of our multi-year program to provide new business capabilities and continually evolve existing platforms. You will provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of implementing the modern architecture that effectively supports PTC s Business Strategy, following Enterprise Architecture guidance and frameworks. This person will interface across several business functions, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects.

If you have a deep understanding and knowledge of a wide variety of technologies such as modern full-stack cloud technologies, DevOps technologies, Integration technologies, CRM (Salesforce.com), ERP (i.e. Oracle eBusiness Suite), modern data processing, business process modeling, and can bring best practices, understand the business context, be pragmatic in a feasible solution, and like to build blocks toward a more robust and scalable IT architecture, then we want you on the team!

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide solutioning, architectural and design support to PTC s business systems across various business areas and functions. Participate in and/or lead a cross-value stream solution architecture and designs.
• Participate in SAFE agile methodology cadences. Engage, collaborate, and partner with various stakeholders: Business leaders, product management, Engineering team, Business Analyst, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, security, and DevOps.
• Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint adhering to enterprise architecture guiding principles and standards. And effectively coordinates it to stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders during solution development. Act as a subject matter expert on technologies and trends in solutions architecture.
• Develop an understanding of the end-to-end business processes and provides input into architecture roadmaps.
• Design high-quality, highly scalable, secured, resilience and distributed cloud solutions and software systems.
• Able to contribute to hands on development, Proof of Concept and demos as needed.
• Mentor, educate and lead the team in identifying and implementing well-architected, cloud-native solutions.
• Evangelize full-stack cloud native and API-first best practices for building/consuming RESTful Microservices APIs.
• Full-stack cloud architecture and design leveraging Azure cloud service stack.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in relevant areas in Enterprise IT with minimum 6-7 years of hands-on solution architecture experience.
• Experience architecting and designing enterprise level large scale solutions to optimize and automate business processes that support functional and non-functional requirements. Expertise in developing and defining non-functional requirements
• Deep understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprise: Operation Excellent, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost optimization.
• Expertise in producing artifacts and creating diagrams to explain an enterprise level architecture design to business, technology, and executive stakeholders. Ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively and efficiently.
• Experience in developing roadmaps to sequence delivery of a target state architecture through prioritized phases.
• Prior experience on various enterprise level COTS systems: CRM, OMS, ERP, RevOps, Finance.
• Practical experience in cloud technologies and crafting modern solution architecture leveraging one or more public/private cloud infrastructure vendor (MS Azure/AWS/GCP/Cloud-Foundry). Microsoft Azure cloud service(s) experience would be plus. Expertise in containerization and its lifecycle.
• Knowledge of architecting and implementing Domain Driven Microservice architecture based RESTful Web APIs. Understanding of SOLID microservice architecture design principle.
• Demonstrated experience in modern cloud architecture patterns: Strangler, Event-driven, ES, CQRS, Sidecar
• Demonstrated experience with real time data streaming technologies a strong plus. Expertise in event driven and message driven orchestration architectures and API designs.
• Experience with integrating heterogeneous systems through a broker architecture patterns.
• Ability to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team
• Ability to present information to wide variety of audiences, including senior management
