If you are a motivated, ambitious, experienced railway bridge engineer and project manager with 5-20 years experience we welcome you to apply to join our growing Rail Services Team.
Remote work opportunities are available and will be considered on a case-by-case basis What You Will Be Doing Leading the preparation of plans, reports and specifications for projects.
Railroad formats and practice experience is preferred.
Taking ownership of projects and performing field inspection, observation and engineer of record work, when necessary.
Manage structural projects with client contact, and performing fee estimates, invoicing, risk review, procurement, and construction observation.
Maintain existing client relationships and engage new clients for a growing rail services business.
Act as an owner representative where you engage the public and private stakeholders throughout the evolution of a complex structural replacement project.
Serving as the structural lead on larger interdisciplinary projects.
Analyzing and designing various transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls and box culverts.
Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents Mentor junior staff Develop internal design tools and resources.
Rail bridge program management including budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, claim resolution and closeout tasks.
Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
Salary Range $90,000 - $155,000 Annual Requirements Skills, education & experience you will have:
Master s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis from an accredited school (preferred) Minimum of 5-15 years of previous Bridge & Structures Engineering experience.
Working knowledge of AREMA design and maintenance recommendations and proficient in applicable bridge design software and structural analysis techniques.
Proficient with MicroStation, and other applicable software common to the field of structural and civil engineering.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining tight schedules and changing project priorities.
Detail focus with an ability to develop new skills in accordance with client needs.
Ability to manage/lead diverse teams of engineers, planners, designers, and contractors.
Project Management experience is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
PE is required.
