Description

As a team member of the AI Center of Excellence, you would contribute to some of the most exciting and impactful data driven application development at Humana. You'll work alongside data scientists and other data engineers to train and productionize machine learning model driven applications, on anything from fraud detection to insurance plan design, and all things in the middle.

Responsibilities

Working in the AI Center of Excellence will improve your ability to think about end to end data driven solutions that improve our members' health, as well as your ability to implement those solutions at scale. Working in the team also enables access to various parts of Humana's business, enabling team members to understand exactly how their contributions are making an impact to Humana's business and our members.

At Humana, our AI and Machine learning development is done within the Azure ecosystem of data services. Our stack includes components like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Store, EventHub, Azure Synapse, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps. Python is the language of choice on this team, and allows for quick pivots between tasks like model inference microservice development and PySpark streaming jobs.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies

  • Work with a teams of machine learning developers and data scientists with deep experience in Humana's offerings and health care data.

  • Develop data driven applications with Python across a number of Azure Services to underpin Clinical intervention programs, member facing applications, and internal productivity applications.

  • Continually refine and elevate the team standards and development patterns with new and emerging technology and ideas.

  • Build bulletproof test suites around the applications you're developing to enable rapid and quality releases

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 2-3 years experience developing data driven software in Python

  • Demonstrated knowledge of critical thinking

  • 2 years of experience building software components in PySpark

  • Experience building or contributing to Python application test suites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience around the data science lifecycle (feature engineering, training, model deployment)

  • Experience working with and building CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience working in the Azure data ecosystem (ADLS/Databricks/Eventhub/etc)
