Job Details

Position Overview Responsible for the accounting functions related to alternative invesments, and for preparing financial statements and technical accounting research on new standards related to such investments.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review month-end closeout and prepare monthly financial package with supporting schedules for the investments
• Prepare and/or review monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries to the general ledger
• Assist in the recording of the purchases, originations, and dispositions of the investments
• Prepare GAAP and IFRS financial statements relating to credit investments, real estate properties, and/or funds, including drafting of footnotes
• Review legal documents to determine appropriate accounting treatment and track reporting requirements for new entities
• Research and address GAAP and IFRS technical accounting issues
• Work with external CPA firm to provide information required for audits and other engagements
• Respond to various requests from investors
• Work on various special projects or other financial reporting projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 2+ Years of Financial Reporting with Real Estate OR Public Accounting Experience
• YARDI or Related ERP Systems Experience
• Knowledge of and experience with GAAP and IFRS
• Strong Excel Skills
• Willingness to come into the office full time

• Public Accounting + Property Management Industry Experience

Work Location

Remote for candidates who reside in the Eastern time zone of the United States, will travel into the office quarterly
