Job Description/Requirements:
- Innovative software client is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead with exposure to modern cloud architecture to oversee a team of engineers to develop new products. If you’re an out-of-the-box thinker and have a vision to deliver the big picture this is a great opportunity for you! Our client is in a newly renovated state of the art office in the heart of Downtown Ann Arbor offering the latest and greatest technology and collaborative workspace. The client is growing at an exponential rate and looking to hire 2 Engineering Leads as the team grows.
Requirements:
- Experience building scalable cloud platforms and managing or mentoring teams to deliver in an agile environment on best practices.
- Management skills of 5 team members. Eventually this person will oversee a team of 10 people.
- Must have a strong architectural background.
- Expertise in developing Cloud applications leveraging Micro-service APIs
- Exceptional knowledge in modern cloud technologies
- Ability to hire, mentor, lead and transform newer talent
- Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience in software product development
- Abstract thinker with an ability to do detailed data-modelling, ontology description , data synthesis for highly performing APIs
- Ability to handle multiple high priority technology streams
- Exposure to Cloud Native technologies across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud offerings
Technical Skills:
- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud technology stack
- Java, C#, Kafka, NoSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis
- RDBMS – PostgreSQL, Oracle
- Data modelling & architecture (very important)
- Micro-services APIs
- Automated Testing frameworks, CI/CD pipeline implementations
- Data security and privacy
- Exposure to AI technologies in a plus
