Slickdeals is looking for a Director of Business Development who is a self-motivated, strategic sales leader who can bring their consultative selling skills and client management acumen and apply it at a rapidly growing company. The Director of Business Development will be involved in the creation of long-term value for the organization, which includes optimizing current partner relationships, negotiating new partnerships, identifying new revenue opportunities, and executing deals. The candidate will maintain and preserve the Slickdeals TPTCOW culture - Team player, Passionate, Thinks big, Customer focused, Ownership mentality, and Work smart.
THE ROLE :
The Business Development Director drives affiliate revenue and advertising revenue for Slickdeals. Leading a full team of business development managers, associates, and coordinators, the Director sets the strategic path to revenue growth by delivering strong campaigns for our clients and developing win-win strategic partnerships across affiliate marketing and paid media. The ideal candidate is well-versed in the digital media landscape with sales, account management, analytics, and team management. Familiarity with the Slickdeals business and site ecosystem is a plus.
IMPORTANT SKILLS :
Set a strategic roadmap for growth identifying revenue generating and strategic partnership opportunities. Support the team's relationships with new clients and help grow relationships with existing clients
Leverage cross-functional management to bring new opportunities and partnerships to life through product teams, optimize communications with marketing teams, and set sell-in strategy to the Business Development team. Work cross-functionally to develop tracking, reporting, or technical integration when necessary
Analyze performance data, including sales and team activity reports to monitor and measure team productivity, performance vs. goals, and overall effectiveness
Support the CMO in the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the Business Development team, including sales goals, planning, and forecasting
Identify strategic conferences and industry events to yield a strong return from attendance.
Mentor and support the Business Development team in negotiating terms and payouts, and executing contracts, in addition to working with internal teams to launch new partners
Support BD managers in identifying areas of improvement and recommend ways for team members to increase revenue per account
THE CANDIDATE:
Experienced Manager of people and processes with a demonstrated ability to help the team celebrate success as you continue to drive consistent revenue growth
Strategic thinker who can leverage client insights, external trends, and performance analytics to set a roadmap for growth.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while mentoring and managing staff
Ability to learn quickly regarding new tools and platforms
An analytical, problem-solving, and results-driven approach to challenges and opportunities
REQUIRED :
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
8+ years of work experience with at least 5+ years of management experience and experience within account management or digital media sales.
Proven track record of mid-market/enterprise sales success - exceeding targets and ability to ramp quickly
Strong communication and delivery skills in writing and speaking, both internally and externally
Skilled in collaborative management environment and ability to work and communicate with members of various teams
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRM experience required (not platform specific).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
Experience working with affiliate management, performance agencies, or within an agency
An extensive network of industry contacts (affiliate marketing or digital media or agencies)
Deep understanding of affiliate management and media sales
LOCATION : Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Flex/Hybrid, or Fully Remote
