Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirements.
- Analyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
- Developing and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
- Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems.
- Diagnose and solve complex technical problems while providing exemplary customer service at every step
- Monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions.
- Preparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
- Training the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices
- Server and network hardware
- Microsoft and Apple operating systems
- Microsoft Office 365 applications and Google Workspace
- Enterprise storage, SAN, and NAS
- Backup and disaster recovery procedures-BDR
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and DFS
- Azure cloud architecture and administration
- Security concepts and technology including PCI and PHI
- PowerShell, Visual Basic, or other scripting technologies
- Routing, switching, and VLAN configurations
- VMware and vSphere
- ConnectWise Manage or other ticketing system a plus
- Customer-service first mentality
- Superior time-management, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, changing, team environment
- Capable of lifting/moving computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred, or Associate Degree plus 4+ years of experience providing IT support at an MSP or similar IT organization, or 10+ years of experience in systems administration or network engineering
- Professional level certifications in one or more technical areas required
- Normal working hours will be 8 hours per day, typically scheduled between 7AM and 7PM, Monday through Friday
- May be required to work other days/hours as assigned for maintenance windows, special projects, etc.
- Travel to client sites, on short notice, may be required
