At ICF, our Senior Full-stack Developers help support the mission, business, service, and operational needs of our customers. ICFs Senior Full-stack Developer work on a wide variety of different programs to support diverse customer mission areas
The Team
Our team at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is building and supporting solutions to help the federal government and public scientific community meet the NCI mission statement: NCI leads, conducts, and supports cancer research across the nation to advance scientific knowledge and help all people live longer healthier lives.
The Work
The ICF Team at NCI supports the Digital Services Center (DSC). The team performs custom and platform-based software development, modernization, and operations and maintenance across the business, grants, and scientific portfolios within NCI. A team of more than 20 managers, developers, and testers all coordinate to support over 25 live applications, with more applications planned for future development. The ICF team works with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of both internal and public applications in the overall support of NCIs mission and objectives.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is -
$80,656.00-$137,116.00

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (design, development, deployment, documentation)
- Contribute to the design and overall architecture of applications
- Participate in development planning and goals
- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
- Collaborate with other developers to design and launch new features
- Introduce and enforce adherence to standards and best practices
- Determine user needs by analyzing technical requirements
- Oversee team members development and share constructive criticism
- Must have the ability to work as part of a project team and deliver in a timely manner
- Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently
- Willing to learn and adopt new technologies in a short period of time as required
- Capability to lead the design of solutions for complex problems when needed
- This position also requires regular communication with the customer to review software application requirements, provide progress status updates, and provide/propose technical solutions and architectural design for enhancements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 3+ years of enterprise application development experience
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTLM, CSS, RESTful APIs
- Successful completion of NIH background check
- MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.
- Serverless Cloud experience
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
- UX/UI best practices
- GitHub
- Able to work in an Agile/Lean development environment
- Able to self-learn and develop on multiple technologies
- Technical leadership experience is a plus
