Bring your successful major gift fundraising experience, key community connections, and nonprofit passion to the role of Bell’s Philanthropy Officer (PO). Working in conjunction with Bell’s executive leadership, the PO is responsible for the agency’s effort to identify, research, and successfully obtain major gifts and grants to provide supplemental funds for agency operations and to develop endowments to provide for the agency’s future financial needs. A successful candidate will have a background in creating and implementing development strategies within the nonprofit organizational structure, will be comfortable in a leadership role, have superb prioritization and time management skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and maintain a creative, self-starter attitude. This is a full-time salaried position.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree (nonprofit management, communications/journalism, public relations, business, etc.) or five to ten years directly related fundraising experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience cultivating and closing gifts of $10K or more preferred. Knowledge of York/Adams County’s community needs – particularly as related to mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, affordable housing, and homelessness a plus. Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license for 3 years, insurable driving record, and have reliable transportation. PA State Police background check. If applying internal is due by September 7th.
