Position Summary:

The RemotePre Service Representative is responsible for Surgery Scheduling, Insurance verification, obtaining authorization, calling patients to discuss financial responsibility, and coordinating all aspects of the schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule Surgeries for specific ASC

  1. Verify Insurance prior to surgery being performed

  1. Identify if Authorization/Precertification is needed.

  1. Call patients to discuss financial responsibility with the use of the estimator tool in the HOST system.

  1. Prepares surgery packet for the ASC, and scan all documents into the HOST system.

  1. Reviews contract load updates and documents newly entered net revenue rates

  1. Maintains strict confidentiality related to all patient data, including medical and financial and company and employee information

  1. Provides superior customer service and takes a solutions oriented approach to all complaints.

  1. Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of six months in a front office setting in an ASCs, or physician office.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.

Ability to prepare documents in response to inquiries.

Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.

Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.

Strong information systems knowledge with specific knowledge

of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word required. Next Gen/HST software experience desired.

Working Conditions: Normal business office environment

Physical Demands: Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping and stretching.

Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to sufficiently operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone,

calculator and other office equipment is required.

Employee must have normal range of hearing and

eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate

reports.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
