Job Description

As a Data Scientist, you'll help us build value-driven intelligent real estate analytics solutions with machine learning and deep learning, lay the foundation for optimizing agent and broker efficiency, and bring Anywhere renowned real estate brands to the next level of data-driven excellence!

In this role, you'll be responsible for mastering our data and working closely with the product team to craft applied data science products which enable us to use it most efficiently! You will be exploring, developing, and implementing machine learning and predictive analytics models that meet the needs of millions of agents, brokers, home buyers, and sellers. Your role will involve working as a part of a team of talented data scientists, engineers, product managers and designers to investigate new data sources, perform data modeling, and deploy new features.

- Take ownership of questions about the data - are curious and proactive in owning, exploring and understanding data
- Understand how to translate business needs into DS project scope and requirements
- Have effective and creative problem-solving skills and work to understand how to tackle the business' needs
- Are comfortable querying the data, performing data exploration, ETL, aggregations, feature engineering, modeling, making visualizations, defining metrics, and analyzing results
- Clearly and explicitly communicate assumptions and thought processes employed in your analyses
- Are collaborative, solution-minded, and prioritize the success of the DS team
- Are flexible and open to new ideas and ways of solving problems
- Share knowledge with and learn from other data scientists on the team

Your skills, accomplishments, & interests:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or related analytical field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of data science, machine learning fundamentals, and statistical knowledge.
- Solid knowledge of Python (or similar) for statistical analysis, modeling and visualization (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, etc).
- Expertise with a range of machine learning modeling techniques such as: Linear Regression, Random Forest, GBM, XGboost, GLM, SVM etc.
- PhD degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or related analytical subject area.
- AWS experience using SageMaker, Athena, S3, EC2, lambda functions, step functions, cloud formation.
- Knowledge of Airflow pipeline workflow automation.
- Knowledge of MLOps implementation concepts and standard methodologies.
- Experience with residential RE data.
