We are searching for a Sr. Manager, Network Systems Engineering, and this person can work anywhere in the United States.

Position Description

The Sr. Manager of Network Engineering will be leading a team of Engineers supporting Networks, Data Centers, Distribution Centers, and Remote Locations. This team of Engineers is responsible for maintaining and working on existing core enterprise network and datacenter operations while incorporating emerging technologies in a cost effective manner to support the business strategy. The team is also responsible for supporting our infrastructure in a hybrid cloud datacenter model.

The Sr. Manager will also have a proficiency, solid understanding and hands on experience and is able to transform complex problems and abstract concepts into executable technology solutions. In this role, the Sr Manager is accountable for leading, driving and developing solutions. The role will be responsible for documenting these designs and ensuring communication and delivery of these services globally. The Sr. manager is also responsible for managing day to day operations such as patching, tuning, monitoring, problem identification and remediation, backups, upgrades, to ensure a stable and reliable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • manage and develop a team of Sr. Network Engineers
  • Collaborate with network engineers and Information Technology Team to design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement
  • Manage network, delegate tasks and ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Network Engineering team to meet deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Network Engineering functions
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels across multiple business units
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Network
  • Problem management at Level 4 with support as well as effective escalation as required

Critical Skills

  • 9+ years of hands on network experience in a large scale Cisco/Arista data centers and remote sites network environment
  • 9+ years of software and network engineering and operational experience
  • 5+ years of experience with strategic planning and migration to cloud platforms
  • 5+ years of leadership and people management experience in a large-scale network environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing network transformation from technology and engineering perspective
  • 3+ years of experience with automation, software development, and virtualization

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience supporting & troubleshooting complex systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with customers to prioritize issues & communicate status
  • Self-starter, capable of seeing projects/fixes through to completion
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple deliverables
  • Effective analytical, business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize/communicate conflicting demands
  • Ability to design and implement solutions

Education

Bachelor's degree, preferably IT or Computer Science discipline

Salary: $180,000

Yearly Bonus: 15%

Our Base Pay Range for this position$101,200 - $168,600
