Data Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join us in delivering data analysis and visualization results for our Federal Government clients utilizing Artificial Intelligence and other toolsets. You will be essential to the success of this project as you and your team develop new, innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Your problem-solving ability, analytical mind, and drive to exceed expectations will lead you to excel in this role.

Overview

As a member of the Centeva agile development team, you will work closely with developers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and other Data professionals to produce data, reporting, and deep learning software vital to the success of our federal customers’ missions. This is a chance to be a part of a rapidly growing development team and play a significant role in the long-term growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide database, SQL and reporting support across the Microsoft Suite of tools including (but not limited to) SharePoint, Azure Machine Learning, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Power BI
• Develop and maintain new or existing data integration and transformation solutions
• Support AI Engineers with data gathering, curation, organization, and processing
• Develop and maintain new or existing ad-hoc visualization modules using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Power BI
• Develop and maintain new or existing multidimensional structures that contain data aggregated from many data sources for data mining and predictive/forecasting
• Resolve Helpdesk support tier 2 tickets dealing with software bugs or other technical issues related to area of expertise
• Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements

Required

• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, MIS, a related technology field, or equivalent experience
• Python development and data processing experience
• Familiarity with pandas, parquet, and json
• Ability to create system requirements documentation
• Ability to estimate level of effort for provided requirements
• Experience developing complex TSQL queries, tables, views, functions, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers using Microsoft SQL Server or similar technology
• Experience performing advanced database administration, management, and security with Microsoft SQL Server or similar technology
• Experience designing, refining, and managing integration components using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or similar technology
• Experience designing, refining, and managing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or similar technology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, Team-oriented environment with multiple shifting priorities
• Experience responding to customer-related inquiries and helpdesk support ticket escalation.

Desired

• Develop and maintain new or existing multidimensional structures that contain data aggregated from many data sources for data mining and predictive/forecasting modules with industry-standard data mining algorithms
• Power BI or similar technology
• Develop and maintain new or existing data integration and transformation solutions
• Competencies in Data Warehouse Principals
• Experience with Elastic Search
• Experience using R or Python Programming Languages
• Experience with Scrum or Kanban agile development methodologies
• Experience with TensorFlow, ML.NET, PyTorch, OpenNN, and/or Flux
• Experience in collating and preparing data for use in Artificial Intelligence training
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning
