Business Development Manager – RS Pro

Job Description

  • Execute the sales and business development plan for RS Pro
  • Regional sales network:
    • Assist with conversion of large sales opportunities
    • Training and sales support support
    • Raising the RS Pro Brand recognition
    • Being a sales team first point of contact for RS Pro
    • Use data to identify new opportunities from existing RS Pro customers
  • Grow account base for assigned RS Pro accounts and prospect for new accounts
  • Use data and customer profiling to identify new customer/channel opportunities for RS Pro
  • Develop strong working relationships with Key Account Managers
  • Preparing monthly sales reports including performance against initiative targets

Location: Preferable DFW area, but will consider remote.

About the role

The RS Pro Business Development Manager is an exciting role for an individual who strives to meet the expectation of our customers and wants to be a part of a growing team focused on accelerating growth for our ‘Own Brand’ RS Pro in the Americas. The role will be assisting the execution of the RS Pro sales and business development plan with a goal to exceed sales, margin and customer acquisition KPI’s. The RS Pro Business Development Manager will reach their business targets through effectively supporting RS Group sales teams in the Americas region. This individual will also identify and develop relationships with high potential customers and resellers, identified and verified though data and insight.

What we are looking for

Essential:

  • Business Development / field sales experience
  • An understanding the Industrial Control or Facilities Maintenance market would be a benefit.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Knows how to set priorities and focus on the key needle moving initiatives.
  • Thinks Customer first.
  • Shows passion and strives to succeed.
  • Strong level of skill in Microsoft word, excel and power point.
  • A commercial mind-set and acumen

Desirable:

  • Degree in Business or related field desirable but not necessary.
